Child's Place

Child’s Place is a children’s advocacy center (CAC) that provides services to children who are victims of crime or witnesses significant violence.  The purpose of a CAC is to provide a safe, child-friendly, neutral location for victims of crimes to tell about their experience and receive advocacy services to assist in the healing process.  

With your support we are able to continue our purpose:

• To listen to children's experiences in a neutral conversation using a developmentally sensitive and legal sound manner regarding allegations of abuse and exposure to violence;
• To facilitate and coordinate a multidisciplinary team response to child abuse;
• To help victims and their families access necessary services, while developing resiliency through continued individualized support; and
• To develop and manage resources and programming to meet the needs of the community for prevention, education and trauma-informed responses.
