Catalyst Foundation

Over the past 19 years, Catalyst Foundation has worked in the poorest villages of Vietnam. We firmly believe that the most effective way to fight human trafficking is to break the cycle of poverty.  Our goal is to strategically empower children and families to stand up with dignity.  

Our community in Ninh Thuan Province belongs to the Raglai ethnic minority group. The 100 families we are working with face significant daily challenges.

• 90% of our families do not have a safe home or proper bathroom facilities.
• 78% of our community has no access to water for drinking, cooking or bathing.
• 96% of the adults have never gone to school.
• 90% earn less than $1 a week picking up, drying, and then selling dung from water buffalo.
• 99% have not had any medical care for their families. 

Catalyst Foundation’s holistic community development programs empower a marginalized ethnic minority to have access to the most basic human rights – education, food, water, shelter, and safety. These are the building blocks to resist the trafficker’s false promises of a better life.
