Chirilagua is more than just an organization, we’re a family. For

1

8 years, we’ve been walking alongside our Latino immigrant neighbors in Alexandria, building long-term, Christ-centered relationships that empower youth and families to thrive. We do

this by providing after-school programs, mentorship, leadership development, and family support services. From helping kids improve their reading skills to guiding teens toward college and careers, to equipping parents with resources and discipleship, to ensure that immigrant families have the information they need to navigate challenges and advocate for themselves with confidence. Our work is all about connection, care, and community. At Cas

a

Chirilagua, we believe transformation happens when we do life together. We celebrate with families in their victories and stand by them in their struggles, ensuring no one walks alone. Through faith, love, and support, we help build a future where every child, every family, and our whole neighbor can flourish.  Our I

ng Through Community Casa Chirilagua is more than a place—it’s a

amily. For seven years, the Garcia family has been a

n

integral part of this family. In 2017, Mrs. Rebeca reached out for support for her children, Luis and Sofia, after hearing about our programs from neighbors. Over the years, we’ve celebrated many milestones with them—Luis’ graduation from Casa 2 Career, Sofia’s 5th-grade graduation from Kids Club, and Mrs. Rebeca’s active participation in our parent programs. But in the fall of 2024, tragedy struck when b

o

th parents passed away within three months of each other. Once again, Casa Chirilagua was there, offering the family support and comfort. Through our family program coordinator, they received emotional and spiritual care, along with practical resources to help them navigate their immense loss. Amid their grief, the Garcia family has found s

t

rength through the unwavering love and support of their community. Sofia continues to receive academic support and is also growing spiritually through Bible studies. We are committed to honoring Mrs. Rebeca’s dream: "I want my children to graduate before I leave this world." Casa Chirilagua stands by families in moments of
