CARMEN PAMPA FUND

The UAC-CP is a college located in the mountainous region of northwestern Bolivia that transforms the lives of of young women and men through higher education, preparing them to respond to the needs of their families and communities.

Internationally and nationally recognized for both its unique approach and ability to address and dissipate root causes of poverty, the College's five degree-granting programs in Agronomy, Nursing, Ecotourism, Veterinary Science, and Education prepare young Bolivians to work as professionals and contribute to positive economic and social development in the rural sector--one of the poorest in Latin America. (We are exceptionally proud that more than 50% of our graduates are women!) 

Despite the success of the College's academic programs and commitment to service, production, and research for Bolivia's rural area, students in Carmen Pampa are faced with huge and difficult challenges. Many are forced to choose between paying for tuition and paying for food.

Your financial contribution to Carmen Pampa Fund supports scholarships for students with extreme financial need and academic success, as well as special projects, such as improved bathroom facilities, roof repair, and laboratory supplies. This support allows the College to continue to provide young Bolivians with quality access to a college education.
