Caring for Cats Inc

Caring for Cats is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit no-kill cat shelter, foster, and adoption organization, annually matching over 95% of our surrendered and homeless cats with loving families while providing a safe and nurturing home-like environment for animals still waiting to find their Forever Home.  

Because of the generous support of the community and dedicated team of volunteers, Caring for Cats is able to provide an animal welfare enrichment environment through direct care, foster, and shelter programs.   

Those programs include an outreach program that provides seniors and other people on fixed incomes with supplies for their cats, and also the Cat Tales – Kids Reading to Cats program.  Cat Tales is a program where children ages 6 to 13 can come into the shelter and read to the kitties. This gives kids the opportunity to practice their reading in a non-judgmental environment and our kitties love engaging with children.  

Since 1999, we have continued to educate children and adults about the responsibilities and truths surrounding animal care while granting ongoing medical and health care services to those cats and kittens still hoping to find a loving home.
