Can Do Canines

A nonprofit organization

Mobility Assistance Dog Kirby knows how to “give.” He gives his human partner more independence every day by mitigating the effects of their disability. To demonstrate some of his specially trained skills, Kirby spent a day at Target Field with Twins outfielder Max Kepler this season and helped him get ready for a big game. Watch the video below of Kirby and Max to learn how our dogs Give to the Max!

Thanks to the generosity of the KAHR Foundation, your donation will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000 for Give to the Max Day. Our Can Do Canines, like Kirby, provide life-changing assistance to their human partners because of your support.

P.S. Want to join the major leagues with your giving? With a gift of $100 or more, you can pitch us a potential name for one of our poodle puppies arriving at Can Do Canines! We will announce the winning name on November 22.

Can Do Canines is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with specially trained dogs.

Since our founding in 1989, we have provided more than 900 assistance dogs to adults and children who live with disabilities that involve mobility challenges, hearing loss or deafness, seizure disorders, diabetes, or childhood autism.

We train our assistance dogs with love and respect. Each dog is then carefully matched with a person who needs one.
