This year marks an incredible milestone for Camp Fire Minnesota: a century of empowering young people to discover themselves, connect with others, and cherish the natural world. Since 1924, Camp Fire has been more than just a place—it’s a thriving community that nurtures growth, fosters friendships, and inspires positive change. Each cabin door that swings open invites a young person into a journey of self-discovery, creating lifelong memories in an inclusive and supportive environment.

• Environmental Sustainability: Our stewardship programs connect youth with nature, teaching them to cherish and care for our planet.

Our Impact

The benefits of nature-based programs include sparking creativity and critical thinking skills; reducing nature deficit disorder; increasing healthy lifestyles; and empowering youth to care for their local community and the planet. When youth connect with nature, they gain skills and are healthier, happier, and more empowered to care for the environment. At Camp Fire, we are encouraging more youth to get outside to explore the benefits of nature.    

• 56% of youth in Environmental Education programs received scholarships, expanding access to Minnesota-standard STEM opportunities for all
• 86% of Camp Fire youth value nature and steward the environment
• 90% of Camp Fire youth feel a sense of belonging in the Camp Fire community.
