Calvary Food Shelf has been a vital part of the South Minneapolis community for nearly 40 years, focused on combating food insecurity and supporting our neighbors in need.

We serve a diverse community, including Spanish-speaking families, American Indians, Black Americans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Our welcoming space and delivery services ensure that everyone can access nutritious and culturally relevant food. With rising prices and high demand, support is needed now more than ever.

Here are some key facts:

  • We’ve serve over 12 times as many families as we did pre-pandemic.
  • In one year, we distributed over 500,000 pounds of food to more than 22,000 people.
  • In October 2024 alone we served 750+ households, equating to over 3,000 individuals and over 50,000 pounds of food.
  • Each $50 donation, with the match, allows us to purchase 250+ pounds of food, which provides 50+ pounds of food for five families

Every dollar you donate to this campaign will go directly to purchasing food. We also need volunteers to keep our operations running. Learn more and sign up.
