To close the digital divide by providing under-resourced communities an equitable pathway into the digital economy. 

We achieve this through transformative digital advocacy, digital literacy, and tech certification training.

Byte Back was named the 2022 Nonprofit of the Year by the DC Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1997 in Washington, DC and launched in Baltimore in 2019, Byte Back is working to expand our efforts to close the digital divide.

Areas of impact:

Digital Literacy

Digital literacy skills are the bridge to work, health and education. Byte Back provides curriculum-based digital literacy skills training to communities with little to no digital skills.

Digital Advocacy

Byte Back influences public policy through strategic partnerships with individuals, corporations, lawmakers, and communities to influence legislation that leads to achieving digital equity.

Tech Certifications

Byte Back’s inclusive tech certification programs offer adult learners an opportunity to gain access to meaningful career opportunities in tech
