Bri’s Lodge - Grief and Loss Center

Bri's Lodge mission is to help individuals cope with loss, support their healing, nurture their physical and emotional well-being and bring hope for the future-No one should grieve alone.

A mission for healing 

Backed by a strong group of volunteers and empowered with a mission to construct a building for healing at Bri’s Lodge. This will be a space where those who are grieving can find support. The organization will provide the following:

• Lodging and retreats
• Healing services that use the five senses to promote physical and emotional wellbeing such as massage, meditation, healing crafts, meals, walking paths, bonfires 
• Connections to supportive resources or individuals who walk the same journey 
• Space for group meetings throughout the week
• Classes on how to help loved ones through the grief process 
• A peaceful, natural setting without distractions 
• Annual events that offer comfort and meaning in the grieving process

Support for those grieving a loss is a need that our community needs.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health in 2017 there were 44,361 deaths in Minnesota. If there are 4 people that are grieving per loss, that is 177,444 people who are grieving. The COVID-pandemic has brought an even greater need for resources to help those that are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Bri’s Lodge would be a one of a kind grief center and resource in the state of Minnesota. Other resources in Central Minnesota are limited but include support groups, therapists, equine therapy and events for specific types of loss. 

What is Bri's Lodge

Bri’s Lodge will be a respite and guiding light in the complex and ever-changing grief journey. Nestled in Central Minnesota against a peaceful, natural backdrop, Bri’s Lodge will provide those who’ve experienced personal loss with lodging facilities, events, resources and the connections they need to move forward in their journey. It will give grieving individuals a soul-soothing place to feel understood and supported in their experience to carry hope in their hearts for a brighter future.
