Our first season was an incredible success, and we owe it to you. We began in May 2023 with rarely performed Baroque music, followed by Duruflé’s Requiem in October, Handel’s Messiah in December, and Sweet Bird in February 2024. Our season concluded with a transformative performance of Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles in May. Audience feedback has been humbling, with words like “stunning,” “transcendent,” and “transported” describing the experience.

Our latest concert, Women of Note, celebrated the contributions of Fanny Hensel, Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, Libby Larsen, and Duluth’s own, Wendy Durrwachter, to the music world. Our local and guest artists brought their music to life, highlighting the remarkable legacies of these composers.

Looking ahead, we will continue our tradition of making classical music accessible to all with a reprise of Handel’s Messiah, which will include a free community sing-along. We will also partner with local choreographer Kayla Schlitgen and CHUM to present David Lang’s The Little Match Girl Passion, raising awareness and funds for homelessness in the Twin Ports. Finally, we will explore the rich cultural heritage of Latin American Baroque with reconstructed works by Antonio de Salazar, guided by internationally acclaimed scholar Craig Russell. We hope to see you for all of these outstanding programs!

Borealis Chamber Artists exists to connect local professional musicians with opportunities to present diverse repertoire at a high artistic level, cultivating a deep appreciation of the arts in the greater Twin Ports. Your generosity makes all of this possible. Please consider making a financial contribution today to support our mission and help us continue to bring this music to life.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
