Boise Hive

Boise Hive empowers local musicians of all ages to create and share the music they love. We provide access to affordable rehearsal spaces, recording services, business development support, gear rental, as well as health and wellness resources. This donor-funded, volunteer-run community space is centrally located in Boise with professional practice rooms and a studio rich with Idaho music history.

Affordable & Safe Rehearsal Space

Boise Hive provides inexpensive spaces for musicians and artists of all ages to be creative in a positive and supportive environment.  All rooms are equipped with PA systems, mics and 5-piece drumsets.  

Access to Health & Wellness Resources

The focus of Boise Hive is supporting a healthy, creative community.  An essential part of this work is providing access to resources that promote mental health and wellness.  We connect individuals within the creative community to affordable mental health resources.  As Boise Hive continues to grow, we aim to provide onsite coaching, recovery suport, and creative process groups to help artists help themselves. 

Education, Training, & Business Development Resources

Business development sessions and workshops help bands grow and thrive. At Boise Hive, they learn everything from marketing to legal issues, as well as hands on training in audio engineering.

Our home is located in the building that once housed Custom Recording and Sound, a home for recording such greats as Paul Revere & the Raiders.  We are building on this legacy of music by offering resources that meet the changing and challenging needs of the musical landscape today.  We believe that bringing like minded people together as a community and the power of music is therapeutic in itself.  By providing this space and resources to meet the varied personal and professional needs of musicians and artists we are helping cultivate a thriving, healthy, and self actualized creative community!
