Bloomington MN Historical Society

The Bloomington Historical Society.  A completely volunteer run organization with the purpose of discovering, preserving history and the dissemination of local Bloomington historical knowledge and information or materials which establish or illustrate the history of the City of Bloomington, in the County of Hennepin and the State of Minnesota.  Our Goals are to preserve the historic legacy of the area.  We manage a significant collection of literature, artifacts and relics of times past.  We host numerous, events, engaging seminars and demonstrations throughout the year.  Located in the beautiful Old Town Hall on Penn Avenue built in 1892, with constantly changing displays and exhibits containing comparisons to recent events.   While we are free to visit and always accepting sustaining memberships and donations.
