The Bloomington Chorale provides accessible, affordable, community focused vocal performances and singing opportunities based on a seasonal variety of four part choral music.

We are a vibrant community of singers and music lovers connected through choral harmony.

We believe in:

Passion! We love singing together; creating beautiful music for ourselves and our community.

Connection! Choral singing connects us to the music, our fellow singers, and the audience.

Community! We learn, grow, and succeed together through sharing our gifts, experiences, and diverse backgrounds.

Accessibility! We are a non-audition chorus for adult, mixed voice singers, beginners and experts alike.

The Bloomington Chorale has welcomed all singers since 1982, and is comprised of people who want to share their love of music with the community. The chorale started as part of the Normandale Community College choir education program and has grown in recent years to include not just Bloomington residents, but people from all over the Twin Cities.  We perform two traditional concerts each year at the Schneider Theatre in the Bloomington Center for the Arts, one in December and the other in May.  We also sing at community centers, senior living facilities, and parks at no cost, in order to spread the joy of singing. We are actively working on diversifying our membership and audience, and need your help to achieve our goal of growing the love of choral music in our community!
