Believe in What's Possible

Believe In What’s Possible (BIWP) is a youth-led nonprofit working to reveal, center, and support youth leadership in Minnesota's political processes. 

BIWP was founded on a subzero Saturday morning in early 2023 by a team of female, Black and Latinx, and/or LGBTQIA+ youth with dreams of changing how politics speaks to our generation. Our goal is to increase youth voter turnout in state primaries and local elections in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and St. Cloud through innovative events-based organizing. When we’re done, voting (and other forms of political action) will be as exciting as getting your driver’s license, buying your first lottery ticket, or turning twenty-one!

• Transforming MN's political math through Turn Up to Turn Out - a youth-led event series during the early vote period that pairs creative events (concerts, craft nights, etc.) with civic action, as well as Scheme Space - recurring monthly meetings for young people to gather, debrief, and co-conspire about a better world
• Activating a network of 15,000+ young people
• Paying young leaders and artists a living wage for community-driven work
• Developing youth-led strategies that reimagine what political participation can look like
