Anwatin is the home of the Spanish Dual Immersion (SDI) Middle School and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme

Anwatin is the home of the Spanish Dual Immersion(SDI) Middle School and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme. The Community IB program will serve student in grades 6-8 from western Minneapolis who attended elementary schools where English is the language of instruction. The IB-SDI program is a continuation for 6-8 students from Pre-K-5 SDI programs at Emerson and Windom. All Anwatin students are taught using the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme framework. Students who are in the SDI program will receive part of their instruction in Spanish and part of their instruction in English, while all other students will receive all of their instruction in English.
