Our Mission Statement:

The Angels of Hope Memorial Woodbury is an everlasting tribute that helps our community heal when the most difficult tragedy, that of losing a child, occurs; providing a place of peace and tranquility to reflect, remember and honor the memory of our children.

Who We Are:

We are residents of our community who have suffered the loss of a child and provide opportunities for connecting, remembering, and gathering.

History:

The Angel of Hope statue originated from the book “The Christmas Box” written by Richard Paul Evans in the early 90’s in which a mother lost her child and seeks comfort at the base of an angel statue.  The first Angel memorial was built in Salt Lake City, UT in 1994, in response to inquiries from grieving parents who were seeking out a place to find peace and to heal like the mother in the story.  The Angel of Hope has become nationally recognized as a memorial site for children that have passed too soon.  There are currently over 180 cities globally with Angel of Hope sites.

Location:

The Angels of Hope Memorial-Woodbury is located at 8301 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN.

Plaque orders:

In the memorial garden, you will find signs with individual plaques with names of children being honored by family and friends. New plaques are added to the memorial in a special ceremony each August.
