Who is your village?

Chances are you're familiar with the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." 

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, teachers, coaches - they're our village. They create the sense of security and belonging every kid wants and needs.

When kids are removed from their village and placed in foster care, their well-being becomes everyone's responsibility. Their village has to grow. 

At Ampersand Families, we are growing the village for youth in the child welfare system. 

We're helping teens who've spent years in foster care find adults who will support them forever, most often through adoption, so they don't enter adulthood alone and unsupported, with no legal family, no home, and no financial resources. 

We also help kids just entering the child welfare system maintain their village, by finding relatives and kin who already know them, love them, and can take them in.

By making a donation to Ampersand Families, you are helping care for our community's children. You're assuming the awesome responsibility of being part of the village.

Donations support programs and services that help youth heal from the trauma of family separation and help all kinds of families stabilize, reconnect, and thrive.
