Amp Athletics

Amp Athletics is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was founded after seeing a need for cheerleading in the north metro area, incorporated in 2021. We are here to offer programs that increase the skillset in youth centered around the sport of cheerleading. This includes offering weekly classes, pop up clinics and camps, competitive, traditional, and exhibition teams, as well as open gyms. Our mission is to offer high quality cheerleading at an accessible price, and to share our passion for the sport with local youth! 

Traditional and Competitive Cheerleading are both team sports, and what that means to our community is that our youth are getting both regular social interaction and physical exercise. The real value is that kids will develop life long healthy habits, be more confident, and feel happier! In fact, studies from the Sanford Center show that athletes that participate in team youth sports have lower levels of anxiety and depression, higher self-esteem, and are more likely to be active later in life! 

Cheerleading, while a coed sport, is more commonly participated in by girls. We take great pride in being a female-dominated sport as the vast number of inequalities for girls/female sports still compound and affect activity levels in girls today. In fact, studies by the Fair Play for Girls in Sports indicate girls receive just 1/3 of the sports opportunities in comparison to male counterparts. This includes access to sporting facilities/fields, experienced coaching staff, publicity, and overall budgets.

By being a non-profit, we are able to keep our pricing at an affordable rate opening access to a wider range of families and athletes.
