Above & Beyond With U

Above & Beyond With U is not just about being ADA Compliant.  

At our core is the belief in the spirit of the ADA - and how going above and beyond the minimum codes is the true intent of this law.  

Our mission is to make sure that our MN residents, visitors and tourists with disabilities have as much access as possible to our local businesses, programs and recreational areas and everything that entails! 

At Above & Beyond With U, we provide consulting, training and resources to businesses and local community programs to work towards increasing awareness, inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. 

Our organization was founded in early 2023 by Jenna Udenberg, a native to Two Harbors, MN and a self-proclaimed full-time wheelie. We are solely operated by our dedicated volunteer board members. Our board currently represents people from Northern Minnesota & Northwest Wisconsin who either have disabilities or are strong allies of the disability community.

Our goals:

• To collaborate with others in order to encourage, train, and create sustainable change to make our physical spaces more inclusive for everyone with all abilities.
• To be a conduit between the non disabled and disability cultures so many viewpoints are heard, valued, and acted upon creating understanding between the intersections of our communities.
• To share Jenna's story and the stories of others to bring humanity, dignity, and understanding to our choices, protocols, policies, and governing bodies.
• To promote the physical and attitudinal accessibility that we find in our daily lives so others can also come and enjoy our region with all its beauty, solitude, and grandeur it has to offer.

Funds:

100% of the funds raised for Above & Beyond With U will go back into the organization to be used to meet our goals listed above. 

This would include using the funds for items such as creating trainings & training materials, creating community events, networking & professional development, and providing financial assistance to help businesses enhance accessibility & inclusion in Minnesota.
