In another challenging year for reproductive rights across the nation, Minnesota continues to lead the way as a safe haven for abortion access! And we are going to use this energy to face down the challenges of 2025!

During 2024, through our media coverage and information campaigns, Abortion Access Front (AAF) has amplified the example that Minnesotans are setting for human rights and reproductive justice. And we’ve been there to lend a helping hand to the amazing MN abortion providers who pick up the slack by caring for so many patients from other parts of the country. Thank you fellow Minnesotans! You should be proud!

Here’s what we’ve been doing this year in Minnesota:

  • AAF just debuted (above) a debate between Senator Tina Smith and AAF’s Anthony Comstock to support her legislation to repeal the 150 year-old Comstock anti-obscenity laws that threaten access to abortion medication across the nation. Sen. Smith is fighting for everyone who needs abortion care and AAF will make sure the rest of the country is aware of her leadership on this issue through our unique brand of informative comedy.
  • This summer, we organized a tour and press conference for Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Bloomington Mayor Tim Busseton at independent clinic Whole Women's Health, with CEO Amy Hagstrom-Miller. She and Lizz Winstead called attention to the increase of out-of-state patients they’re receiving, how far these patients have to travel, and the additional burden placed on small independent clinics. Kudos to Lt. Gov. Flanagan and Mayor Busseton for showing other politicians what it means to support abortion providers!
  • To show our appreciation to the committed folks working at Whole Women’s Health Bloomington, AAF took them all out for lunch, spruced up their walls with uplifting posters, and stocked their recovery room with drinks and snacks for patients.
  • AAF recently partnered with an activist group in NYC to treat the hard-working staff of the Robbinsdale Clinic in Minneapolis to a well deserved night out for dinner. We also set up an Amazon wish list for clinic supplies and office needs so people anywhere can support them.
  • Lizz Winstead and AAF volunteers showed up for the  WE Health Clinic in Duluth bearing breakfast for clinic escorts and stepped in to help escort patients. They also worked with abortion fund, Hotdish Militia, to help assemble their educational materials , and treated their clinic staff to lunch and treats!
  • No One Asked You, the award-winning documentary about the work of AAF over the last six years was sold out at the Minneapolis/St.Paul International Film Festival, and so many of you came out to our after party to celebrate with us!

Your support enables AAF to continue this important work in MN, and we are so glad that you stand by us!
