A Great Day Farm

A Great Day Farm supports people with disabilities, their families and their communities through free recreational and community-building opportunities. 

We operate a completely free indoor-outdoor recreation space on a drop-in basis and periodically offer events & programs. We're committed to supporting people with disabilities to show up fully as they are and to find freedom, joy and creativity in our spaces. 

Open New Doors at A Great Day Farm

We are raising $7,500 to replace our front doors, install accessible door actuators and create a more welcoming entry to our indoor recreation center. This Give to the Max Day, help us make A Great Day Farm’s indoor recreation center more accessible for everyone. Currently, our front doors can be a barrier for visitors with mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, or limited dexterity. With your support, we can install automated door actuators and smart locks, ensuring easy, safe access for all.

We're asking you to consider donating $25 (or more) toward our goal of $7,500. Every gift brings us closer to upgrading our front entrance and making our space truly inclusive.

Your Donation Will:

• Promote independence for visitors using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers.

• Improve safety and convenience with smart locks for staff and participants.

• Ensure everyone feels welcome and empowered in our community spaces.

Project Costs:

$2,000 - $3,000 for replacing two front doors

$2,000 - $3,000 for an accessible door opener with a push-button panel

$400 for smart locks

$400 for reinforced threshold repair to handle heavy use

$400 for additional materials and supplies

$200 + in-kind contributions from the farm will help cover remaining labor costs through contracted services

If we exceed our fundraising goal or save on project costs, any remaining funds will be directed towards enhancing the accessibility of the side entry door to better connect our indoor and outdoor recreation spaces.
