District 318 Endowment Fund

The District 318 Endowment Fund exists to provide supplemental funding, independent of the school budget, for educational enrichment opportunities for students in Independent School District 318 public schools. 

The grant amounts teachers request each year always outweigh what the board has available to give. Your gift will help to grow the fund so we can provide more grants to empower more teachers to enrich the educational experience for more students for years to come. 

Donations have the power to impact roughly 4,000 district students from Grand Rapids and Cohasset to Bigfork, creating additional learning opportunities in areas like science, math, reading, language, robotics, music, arts education, and the environment that otherwise wouldn’t exist - as these endeavors are independent of the school budget. 

Examples of special projects that have been funded include a climbing wall at Cohasset Elementary, LEGO Robotics Kits at RJEMS, digital cameras at Bigfork School that mix art and math concepts, and a drone for the Grand Rapids High School Math program.

Funding is community-driven, made possible by generous donors like you to assist and enhance the education of kids in our schools.

The Endowment is governed by a volunteer board of directors, which operates independently from the school board and district budget. Donations are tax-deductible and go to support innovative programs and projects in the district.
