Hilary uses human-centered communication to build relationships and create genuine connections across differences.
As an experienced storyteller, Hilary enjoys creating communications that connect with an audience, whether fine-tuning email subject lines, crafting compelling grant applications, interviewing community members, or more. They joined GiveMN with a strong background in nonprofit work and relationship building, having worked on the grants team for Project for Pride in Living and as a podcast producer for the East Side Freedom Library’s Housing Justice team. In addition to communications, Hilary has a knack for project management and detail and—as GiveMN’s Marketing & Communications Associate—is committed to uplifting the voices of nonprofit leaders.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Hilary came to the Twin Cities in 2019 to get their bachelor’s degree in media & cultural studies and data science from Macalester College. They love thinking about how the world works and how it could be different. When not imagining a more just future, they enjoy reading, discovering new albums, and making weird recipes found through Instagram Reels.
