Support for our Highwood Community
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Southeast Community Organization/District 1$30
raised by 1 people
$5,000 goal
The Southeast Community encompasses four different neighborhoods, Conway, Eastview, Battle Creek and Highwood.
Our southernmost neighborhood, Highwood, has the most limited access to resources and services. This area is considered a food desert, and public transportation is limited. We also have a few thousand renters, many of whom are low wealth and/or Somali, who need our support at this time. This is how we build community and support our neighbors!
Highwood funds will be used to purchase healthcare items like diapers, wipes or food as needed for residents. This fundraiser takes place alongside other efforts we are doing to accept donations and deliver food each week.
Your fund are only used for our outreach efforts in Highwood. The Southeast Community Organization does not take any percentage of funds donated at this time.
We are accepting donations at the Southeast Community Organization office Monday-Fridays from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and by appointment. If you have a large donation, we can arrange to meet at the Mosque at Shamrock Plaza. Call us at 651/578-7600 or email hello@southeastside.org
