Your help is needed to achieve the vision that every student has an opportunity to discover and experience music.
Many of our families cannot afford to buy or lease an musical instrument for their children. On average, there were approximately 12,000 students enrolled in the Robbinsdale Area Schools last year. It is estimated that over 52% of those students qualify for free or reduced school lunches. This means there are over 6,000 students in our district that may not be able to participate because they simply cannot afford it.
The district has long provided instruments to low-income students for a small fee each year. The need is growing, resources are tight, and instruments need to be replaced.
You can help with a financial donation or a donation of a used musical instrument. 100% of the money raised and instruments donated will be given to help students in need.
Imagine what impact your generous, tax-deductible donation will do.....
- $55 dollars will repair a cello for a students use
- $200 dollars will provide one child a percussion kit to be used for years
- $500 would buy a new baritone, to be used by many children over the years.
Every dollar counts to keeping the music alive in our classroom.
