MISSION STATEMENT 2024
PAC works to support and enhance the education of students and the experience of staff and the school community. Our work is centered around creating a positive community and uses a racial equity lens to support and enhance the education of all students, with a focus on eliminating barriers and providing equitable opportunities for students of color and in so doing - building a strong community of all stakeholders at Central High School
We need to do GOOD because GOOD needs to be done
This is the guiding value that we are using for our 2024 Campaign
DONATE to Central PAC for ALL students and staff
Central has always been a beacon of GOOD in the community and this year we are lifting up stories that show all the goodness that is Central High School
We knew that 2024 would be a year that you would be asked to give in extraordinary ways. The Central PAC purposefully and intentionally waited until after the 2024 elections to begin our GTM efforts
Your gift to the PAC supports the whole school
We are ALL Central and your gift transforms the hearts and minds of the 1,700 students that attend Central High School, as well as the 165 staff who work in the building
Funds raised by the Central PAC offset the costs that public education is not able to fund
-
$20,000 in TEACHER GRANTS: Every single teacher has access to $250 to spend on making teaching come alive in their classrooms. These funds are spent on educational materials that are not covered by the school’s budget or departmental fundraising.
- $5,000 in STUDENT GROUP GRANTS: ALL student groups that do not have a mechanism for raising money at the school (booster organization) can apply for a $250 grant to support their work to create a positive Central community.
- $5,000 in SPECIAL GRANTS: These requests are for amazing projects that reflect students and staff work together: Things like: Media equipment for a film studies class that needed microphones, cameras and lightning. Refreshments for the MYP Project Presentations. Field trips for Spanish and German classes.
- $15,000 in STAFF APPRECIATION and SUPPORT: We show appreciation to our teachers and all staff in the building by serving meals on conference nights, staff trainings, and in service days. That’s 200 people being fed 10 times a year
- $10,000 in COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Central opens its doors and welcomes the community in through efforts such as: National African American Parent Involvement Day, Back to School Night, Central Showcase, the Opportunity Fair and Homecoming Events.
- $5,000 in PAC ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS: Mailings, meetings, filings, printing and communication
- $2,000 in SCHOOL SPIRIT: These funds are used by Principal Ayers to lift up Central's impact in the community
We know times are tight. We know you have been tapped to give in more ways than you could have ever imagined. We are deeply appreciative that you see yourself and your family as part of the Central family!
Thank you for considering making a gift that works for your family. And thank you, for all you do for the Central community.
