Give the Gift that Lights a Spark!
When you support Camp Fire Minnesota, you help youth
discover their sparks for learning, leading and living!
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, 3,500 youth explored nature this year through Camp Fire clubs, camps and, new in 2017, environmental education field trips. One in four youth attend Tanadoona programs with financial assistance and our out-of-school time clubs in affordable housing communities are free to families. To continue to make this possible, help us reach our goal to raise $20,000 by the end of the year!
With nature as our catalyst, Camp Fire Minnesota proudly operates three main programs:
Clubs provide a nurturing, constructive and fun environment for young people to discover their spark - unique skills and passions - and adopt a growth mindset. Youth and teens chart their own course through our progressive program for healthy habits, academic success, community leadership, and connection to nature in collaboration with trained, caring adults.
K-12 Environmental Ed. Field Trips & Adult Team Building
Full immersion works. Experiential learning endures. That's why schools and organizations of all kinds make Camp Fire Minnesota their go-to destination for field trips and team-building. With 103-acres of woods, wetlands and savanna, our Tanadoona property is the perfect outdoor classroom. Our staff works with each group to develop a custom program around their specific goals.
Youth and teens are spending more time than ever on screens. Camp Fire Minnesota's nature-based camps provide the space to completely unplug - and rediscover fun and adventure with friends in the outdoors. Our programs introduce youth to new experiences helping them build outdoor skills, develop self-confidence, and become environmental stewards. Camp scholarships make camp accessible to all families.
