We understand and share the concerns of our communities, our donors, volunteers, staff and their families as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold. And though the challenges ahead are unknown, we remain optimistic that our communities will pull through and emerge stronger than before. The Community Foundation for Carver County has established the Carver County Response Fund. The Carver County Response Fund seeks to support unmet immediate needs of entities providing services to those affected locally by COVID-19 and to entities who have experienced, due to COVID-19, a decrease of revenue which has led to an operational shortage.

The fund has already granted out $22,500 to the following organizations:

  • $5,000 to Launch Ministry for wellness packs and case support to unsheltered youth who would normally access emergency drop-in services.
  • $5,000 to provide essentials to those in need through a coordinated effort to identify gaps through Love in the Name of Christ of Eastern Carver County.
  • $5,000 for personal protective equipment and basic needs for low-income clients through the River Valley Nursing Services.
  • $3,000 for food assistance through Bountiful Basket Food Shelf of Eastern Carver County.
  • $2,500 for youth outreach and support through Chaska Treehouse.
  • $2,000 for bus repairs and gas to support mobile delivery to clients of basic necessities through His House Foundation.
