As an artist-in-residence, I, Terrell Grier, pioneer self improvement for all through music. Focusing on the underprivileged youth in need. With a team of experienced experts sharing relatable life experiences and helping the youth transforming their negativity’s into positivity. By creating their own original music. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the bonds within families and communities through music. While addressing mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. So come join us in spreading the healing power of music.
Spreading The Word
A few channels that I will utilize on my path will be, reaching out to like-minded people to build a better community to overcome this issue. And make IG and Facebook ads to promote the music/ inspirational program that we have to offer the youth in the Duluth Minnesota area and throughout the Twin Ports.
Problems We Face
Some of the problems that I have noticed being a resident of Duluth, Mn for over 20 years has been. The miss guidance with the way the youth, look at life and not being able to let them grow into their full potential. There is not enough family unity in the Duluth area due to the rise of crime, drugs and racial discrimination within our community. Now as a result, the underprivileged youth are not being allowed a chance to grow to become better leaders not just for themselves but for our communities.
Solutions
My solutions to this problem is to teach the kids how to deal with life through Music. I will show the kids how to take real life experiences and grow from them. I will teach The Kids how to move their body with the music. I will teach the youth how to use different tempos and melodies of the beat.
Unique Values
Some of my unique values are the life lessons that I have learned first hand growing up. I know how to use the trauma that I have faced in my life as my strengths. Now this will allow me a chance to be able to not just tell The Kids about how to deal with life, but show them through the self improvement teachings of my music program.
Key Metrics
Some of the key metrics that will let me know how my program is doing. Are the kids telling me themselves that I am doing a good job. The parents giving their own personal review of the skills that I provide to enhance their children’s development and of course the happiness and joy that it brings to me
