Comfort for a Cause

The employees of the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center (more info about CMSAC below) put so much time and effort into the care of their clients! Through our daughter, an employee of CMSAC, my husband and I are aware of and so impressed by the compassionate, kind and dedicated people that are a part of CMSAC. As a nonprofit, the amazing services they offer are funded through grants and donations. Those funds generally come with designations for their use, geared toward client care. So that means, without special fundraising, there isn’t anything in the budget to update worn office furniture. Much of their current office furniture (desk chairs, break room seating, etc.) is very worn and needs to be replaced.  

I’m sure most of you know how much worn and uncomfortable seating can affect your physical health as well as your mental health. Brian and I are hosting this fundraiser and asking for your help to get these wonderful people some comfortable, functional office furniture!

Central MN Sexual Assault Center (CMSAC) is a 24-hour crisis intervention agency providing direct services to people affected by any form of sexual violence.  The Center’s purpose is to offer non-judgmental, confidential, free, direct services to victims of sexual assault, their partners, families, coworkers, and friends.

CMSAC also works to prevent sexual assault in our communities and in society at large by re-defining power to promote equality between all people, non-violence, cooperation, and mutual interdependence.  CMSAC promotes and supports true equality and access to decision-making for all people; inclusion; and consensus and accountability of leadership in order to transform harmful societal norms about sexual violence.
