CCAR Build a Foundation Fundraiser

Since 2018, Carlton county has not had an animal shelter to help all the animals needing care. June 2022, Carlton County Animal Rescue formed and has been expanding ever since.  In June 2023, CCAR began a pilot project to start taking in stray and surrendered dogs and has found homes for over 20 dogs to date.  In August 2023 CCAR began intake for cats/kittens and has taken in over 70 cats in 3 short months and placing in foster homes, addressing routine vaccinations, spay/neuter, and vetting needs to prepare for adoption.  

Currently, CCAR does not have a shelter so all animals brought in and have gone into loving foster homes. CCAR's goal is to gain the financial resources in the future to be able to have a shelter, however we are working in phases towards this goal.

Without CCAR's amazing supportive community, CCAR could not have provided food, emergency medical care, and resources to the many animals in Carlton county! 

This year our focus with a matched donation opportunity is to build a foundation for our building fund- for long term planning to have a local shelter that can meet the needs of our county and surrounding areas with limited resources.
