Capital Campaign: Vive l'Alliance

Our beloved building has reached its capacity and we need your help to renovate and expand it.

In 1998, the Alliance Française of Minneapolis/St Paul purchased its historic building in the North Loop of Minneapolis.  At that time, some work was completed to adapt the site for  classrooms, a library of French books and magazines, as well as the Grande Salle, a gathering space for cultural events of all sorts.

Today, following a significant increase in both membership and course enrollment, AFMSP's treasured home has reached capacity.  Attendees at our monthly P'tit Dej, a French breakfast conversation group, fill the Grande Salle. Classrooms are so full that we've begun offering classes on Sundays and seeking off-site locations in Edina and Rochester.  In addition to space limitations, the AFMSP building is not accessible to all members, due to staircases and narrow passages. The current renovations include the addition of an elevator as well as ADA-accessible restrooms and compliance throughout the building.

We need your help to succeed.  To date, we have nearly $750,000 in funds, but to achieve all that we hope for our beloved home, our goal is to raise $2.5 million.

Please help us reach our goal!  This is a unique and exciting time in the history of our Alliance Française. Please consider making a one-time gift or a multi-year pledge to have even greater impact. Your gift, in any amount, is greatly appreciated and will help us maintain a strong and successful Alliance Française well into the future.
