Project for Saint Paul Almanac (Arcata Press)

Powering youth voice through Spoken Word, Hip Hop and social justice strategies since 2006.

TruArtSpeaks is a developing non-profit organization based out of the Twin Cities, Minnesota. We find our roots in the land of 10,000 lakes and all that it has to offer. Our work focuses on the importance of supporting, encouraging, developing, and creating spaces for youth and community voice while utilizing elements of Hip Hop and Spoken Word culture.

Since 2006, TruArtSpeaks has maintained a firm commitment to honoring and highlighting youth voice, ensuring that there is a space for young people in the conversations that will shape the future. We believe that is our responsibility to listen to and assist tomorrow’s leaders, today. In fact, TruArtSpeaks is the living dream of a former Minnesota youth, one whom was so well supported by the community that they now get to join the cypher and give back.

TruArtSpeaks is fiscally sponsored by Arcata Press Dba Saint Paul Almanac.

Our Mission
