Student Life: Engaging Kids Outside the Classroom!
Project for Metro Deaf School

Forming Friendships That Will Last a Lifetime!

While learning in the classroom is vital to a child's success, we also learn a great deal from our peers as we play and interact with each other. For hearing children, this happens with the neighbor boy or girl across the street. For Deaf children, who often live far from their Deaf peers, this ability to interact and learn together is limited.  This is why we have created the Student Life program.

Metro Deaf School wants to bolster our Student Life program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at our school.  Student Life is a program for students to gather after school for fun, games, homework help, and free time with their friends.

How can you contribute to the success of Student Life at Metro Deaf School?

Unfortunately, Student Life does not come without a cost. While we try hard to make the fee for student life as reasonable as possible, some students aren't able to participate because their families can't afford the cost. Your donation will go toward providing these students with the opportunity to join the student life program!

Funds will also help us engage students with off-site opportunities, and purchase equipment to make Student Life at MDS the best program yet!

Memories, friendships forged, and feelings of success are never forgotten. These are the kinds of things that happen during our Student Life program and they will be the stories these kids talk about for years to come.

Donate today and help make Student Life a huge success!
