An affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, the BIO Legacy Foundation benefits the Bird Island-Olivia area in Minnesota.

Mission Statement
To enhance our rural lifestyle by supporting ideas and projects that strengthen our communities.

Fiscal Year 2017 Grantmaking Awarded grants totaling $8,028

Adult Client Training Service to purchase a wireless sound system for work floor

Christian Community Outreach Center:

  • for acoustical room dividers to create a quieter space for doing homework and meeting spaces for other groups
  • to purchase a business computer for administrative work and to assist youth with homework, reports, research and science fair projects

Church of St. Mary's for busing to and from airport and student lunches during 2017 Washington, D.C. trip

CIRCLE to collect and distribute school supplies for students in Renville County in need

ISD #2534 – BOLD:

  • to purchase a leveled literacy library for all classroom teachers and interventionists
  • to upgrade and expand wireless microphone units for use by BOLD musical students

Play Island, Inc. for art and educational learning supplies

Renville County Hospital & Clinics for a program to help Renville County residents prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes
