Warrior 196 Leadership Foundation

Honoring Service, Encouraging Leaders

Warrior 196 Leadership Foundation was formed in 2015 when the Christopher Goeke Leadership Foundation joined with the Warrior 196 Memorial Trust, to expand our mission of honoring service and encouraging leadership.  We remember the five young men from School District 196 who made the ultimate sacrifice while on active military duty:

Capt. Nathanael Doring, USMC  -    Apple Valley HS Class of 1993

LCPL Daniel Olson, USMC              Eagan HS Class of 2006

CPL Benjamin Kopp, US Army        Rosemount HS Class of 2006

1LT Christopher Goeke, US Army    Apple Valley HS Class of 2004

CPL Andrew Wilfahrt, US Army       Rosemount HS Class of 1997

Proceeds from our fundraising goes to scholarships for graduating seniors at the four high schools in District 196 to support and encourage young persons with strong leadership qualities and a committment to community service.  In 2017, we gave a total of $16,000 in scholarships.  We sponsor the Goeke Memorial Ultimate Frisbee Tournament each May and a 5K Run/Walk each September.

We are a private, non-profit 501(c)(3).  Our Board of Directors is entirely volunteers and we have no paid staff.

Our Goal is to raise $4000 to fund two scholarships for 2018!
