Minnesota Coalition on Government Information works for transparency in government

We are an independent board of 14 people made up of librarians, journalists, attorneys and others who work for transparency in government.

This is the second year that the Hubbard Broadcasting Foundation generously offers MNCOGI a $5,000 matching grant to support our efforts. Your assistance now endorses our work and gets us closer to that $5,000 grant.

Democratic government is possible only if individuals have access to the information they need to hold their government accountable.

Every year, this access comes under attack from governments and organizations that view transparency as a nuisance and accountability as a problem. Every year MNCOGI, the Minnesota Coalition on Government Information, defends public access to government information from these attacks and works to expand the rights of citizens to hold their government accountable.

The Minnesota Attorney General's Office posts annual reports containing information about operations, fundraising, and finances from the last 4 years for registered charities and nonprofits.
