Considering our water resources at the watershed scale.
Friends of the Root River work to:
- Advocate for positive conservation actions that mitigate land and water impairments, enhance and restore wetlands, and reduce effects of natural disasters to the Root River watershed;
- Connect with groups, agencies, farmers, land owners, local businesses and individuals who value the health of the natural resources in the watershed;
- Educate residents, visitors and other stakeholders about the vast dimensions of the watershed’s natural resources through educational programs and conservation actions; and
- Engage residents and stakeholders to participate in conservation, educational programs and adopt appropriate best management practices.
