Connecting with Nature
Belwin Conservancy is an ecological oasis on the eastern edge of the Twin Cities, where critical habitat for endangered species is preserved and people are inspired to connect with nature. Here, bison graze native prairie, Rusty-Patched Bumble Bees collect pollen, and Blanding's turtles sun themselves on logs. Elementary school students study the natural world by actually being in the great outdoors. We have something for everyone. Hiking trails, educational events and a 10' refracting telescope for viewing the heavens. For more than 46 years, Belwin Conservancy has worked to protect and restore nearly 1,400 acres of unique lands in Afton and West Lakeland, Minnesota. Together, with our partners, we are committed to building a bridge between people and the planet, and preserving this precious and sacred space for future generations.
