Why should you Give?

Through your support Scouts have fun with a purpose. They make friends and work together. They set goals and achieve them. They go places. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. These life-changing experiences, and the confidence they provide, form a foundation a Scout can stand on to embrace opportunity and overcome obstacles in life. Simply put Scouting prepares the next generation of leaders in our community. Your support of Scouting, will ensure that all youth, no matter what their circumstances, have the opportunity to participate in the life changing program of Scouting.

Baylor University research shows that men who were Scouts are significantly more likely to do well in school, graduate from college, provide for their families with higher incomes, value their family life, and be active in their community and church.

Tufts University Study Finds Boy Scouts Builds Positive Character

Scouting is in a unique position to improve and mold lives of youth and families, no matter their situation.  It does not matter if a youth has a physical or learning disability, is from a single parent home, what faith they practice, what color their skin, or what side of town they are from.  Once they put on their uniform, they are a Scout, they are part of a pack or troop and they are judged by their effort to do their best and follow the Scout Oath and Law.  The support you provide will be used to ensure that all youth can participate in a fully funded and supported Scouting program.
