Tri-County Humane Society

Tri-County Humane Society is proud and privileged to have served the pets and people of Central Minnesota for 50 years. 

Tri-County Humane Society is an independent, non-governmental, 501(c)3 nonprofit animal shelter in St. Cloud, Minnesota. A group of volunteers established TCHS in 1974; over the past five decades we've grown from a converted gas station with a few kennels and cat cages to a 14,000-square-foot shelter. Thanks to our supportive community, we've become a leader in animal welfare for our area and beyond.

With help from people like you:

* We place about 5,000 animals every year in homes.

* We do not have time limits on our animals. As long as they're happy and healthy, they will have a place with us.

* Our average length of stay for before an animal is placed is eight days.

* All dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

* We strive to offer a welcoming adoption and rehoming processes. 

* We offer a Return to Field program to help combat Central Minnesota's community cat overpopulation.

* We administer hundreds of free or low-cost microchips during public clinics each year. 

* We host and participate in animal-related educational events for people of all ages.
