Thursday Musical

Supporting a partnership between performers and audiences to create opportunities for performance and enjoyment of classical music.

• Thursday Musical is ushering in our 132nd season of bringing high-caliber classical concerts to audiences. We proudly present three diverse music series featuring outstanding musicians from Minnesota.

 • Since 1892 Thursday Musical has served the community by providing musical venues for local musicians and performances for audiences. Our recitals explore the spectrum of classical solo and chamber ensemble repertoire. Each year, Thursday Musical artists present programs on the concert stage, in homes and locations throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.

• Thursday Musical also has a rich tradition of providing musical inspiration and education to young audiences. Music in Our Schools brings Thursday Musical artists, from chamber ensembles to singers, into the classroom to perform, demonstrate their instruments, or give an introduction to opera.

• Through our Young Artist Program, we encourage junior high through college-aged musicians by providing opportunities for recital performance and scholarship competition. Winners are recognized with a monetary award and a featured concert performance. Up to $20,000 in student scholarships are given.

• Thursday Musical’s unique combination of performance, education and scholarship makes music a tangible, accessible and affordable part of life in the Twin Cities. We invite you to join us and support this exciting musical experience!
