The Connecting Connection: Connecting people thru collection and distribution of goods. Supporting families through humanitarian programs.
Connecting the world by forming relationships through caring and giving, we seek to provide clothing, supplies, and medical and dental equipment while encouraging education that all the world might see a new and brighter day.
What we do
Connecting Connection, Red Wing, MN., collects donated items, refurbishes them as necessary, and distributes them to those in need. Connecting Connection also administers humanitarian programs to support the physical and educational needs of families.
Since 1998 Connecting Connection has prepared international shipments as part of the Denton Program which allows U.S. Air Force cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods to countries in need. We now reach out to underprivileged families and children in Honduras, Mexico, Haiti, Guinea West Africa and other countries.
Besides its global activities, Connecting Connection serves families and nonprofit organizations within a 70-mile radius of Red Wing, Minnesota. This includes the counties of Goodhue, Pierce, Olmsted, and Dakota as well as greater Minneapolis and St. Paul. Currently we receive family referrals from local organizations such as Haven of Hope, and Kids Count and Transitional Housing, both programs of Hope Coalition. For example, a referral from Hope Coalition led us to a homeless person. We helped furnish his apartment by supplying furniture, linens and kitchen equipment.
We have a generous donor who will donate $100 once donations to Connecting Connection reaches $100.
