What are you supporting when you give to Side by Side? 

When you give to SBS you are giving to more than just a ministry, you are giving to a community. A community that puts kids first and that seeks to inspire, equip, and send the students we serve. A group of people passionate about reaching the communities around them with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. A community committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus not only in Minnesota but around the world. Giving to Side by Side will help us continue the mission started in 1999. We need financial support, and most importantly we need your prayers. 

Our Mission

To inspire young people through the message of Christ to live an authentic relationship with God, to equip them with the tools to be life long servant leaders, connect them to Christian communities where they utilize their gifts and talents to serve God and neighbor.                                                                             

Our Vision

We believe young people are treasures just waiting to be discovered by the church. Their gifts and talents must be fostered in order that they are utilized in areas of service and leadership in their Churches and Communities.  Side By Side works to engage young people in active leadership by creating a community of young leaders, providing training for leadership and ministry, and giving them hands on opportunities to serve an lead on retreats, in church ministries, through community service, and in mission programs.

To SEND young people forward to use their talents to lives of service, leadership, and mission.

How?

Ministry to Youth:  Side By Side Ministries works to engage young people through meaningful youth ministry offerings and draws them to active participation and to an experience of discipleship and leadership.

Ministry of Leadership: Side By Side Ministries works to inspire young people to grow as Christian servant leaders in their churches and communities.  We provide opportunities for youth to grow in Christian Faith, develop gift for leadership and service, through programs which offer hands on experience while drawing communities together to share resources to better serve youth.

Ministries to the Church: Many Churches do not have the budget, know-how, resources or staffing to be able to engage young people in leadership and service programming.  Our ministry works in relationships with churches to assist in the creation of successful and impacting youth ministry opportunities. 

SUMUS: SUMUS is the name of a new outreach method in which Side By Side sends out a small team to ignite faith in young people through an evening of gaming, an inspiring message, prayer, and music. 

Global Mission: SBS has an active mission site in Guatemala at a home for abandoned and orphaned children and we are continuing to grow our programs to include other global and local sites.
