Service Leaders Rising

Service Leaders Rising is creating an ecosystem of service in which every young person, from all economic backgrounds, has the opportunity to serve and can begin to realize their full professional and civic potential.

We believe that a year-long, full time, term of service is a transformative experience and that everyone who wants to serve should have the opportunity to do so.

However, the living allowances provided for most full-time terms of service can be a barrier to some who have a desire to serve.

Service Leaders Rising provides grants to make a term of service accessible for those who are not in a financial situation that enables them to serve on the living allowance provided. Service Leaders Rising also provides a mentor who has completed a term of service and comes from a similar financial situation as their mentee to be a trusted guide throughout the participant's term of service.

Service Leaders Rising also believes that service is a stepping stone to civic and professional leadership thus in addition to providing grants and mentorship we provide robust training in leadership and civic engagement.
