Saving Tails Animal Rescue

Saving Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) is a Minnesota based 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer animal rescue.

We believe in LOCAL rescue!

You may not see a large social media presence from STAR, but we are here; saving LOCAL animals in need every day.  We aren't influencers. We aren't social media experts. We are rescuers.  

We do what we think is right, and it isn't always easy. It comes with a lot of sweat and tears, sleepless nights and medical expenses. If an animal is in need and we can help, we don't hesitate to step up for them. We take in the ones that nobody knows about; from animals in local impounds at risk for euthanasia to animals from owner surrenders that otherwise have no other option. 

We have taken in the ones that nobody else would; from cats with injuries and FIP, to dogs with tumors and cancer diagnoses. We team up with incredible local "independent rescuers" who voluntarily take in animals in need; and work together on getting every one healthy, vetted and adopted into only the best forever home!  

We are dedicated to our LOCAL animals. We believe it's important to work towards a solution to the animal welfare issues here at home, before transporting animals from other states. We cannot continue on our mission without the support of those who share the same values. Please, help us continue saving our local animals. They need us now more than ever!
