When Violence Hits Home: Stories from Our Streets

Gun violence leaves deep wounds — on our streets and in our homes.

One day, Melvin Carter Jr. stepped between two young men ready to fight, urging both, “You’re above this!”  The fight broke up.

Another day, he comforted a mother in tears over her son’s anger after prison, helping them find their way back to each other.

There are thousands of such SOS moments.

Save Our Sons exists for moments like these — to break cycles of violence, heal family pain, and remind our community that peace is possible.
