$350,000 Goal

Your History. Your Community.

One whiff of the air escaping the Ames-Florida-Stork House brings back memories of Grandma's house. The attic. The treasures. The warm coziness of family and simpler times. Join us as we bring the past to life; as we present public programs on such topics as Rockford's Industries of the 1900's , or run events like Rocktoberfest and RAHS Kids Kamp. Join us as we provide opportunities for school children to experience - not just read about - our history, about how Rockford was founded and what impact the first mill had in establishing our community. Learn about our past residents that served our county in war or helped form our community through the "Meet the People" events. Join us as we celebrate Rockford on Memorial Day and Crow River Christmas, in ways that bring us back to the celebration of community.  Join us and celebrate our history.

Our goal this year is to raise $350,000 to support the building of an additional facility on our grounds. This year round building will be fully ADA accessible and intended to be a gathering location for learning and sharing of our local history. We envision seminars to be led here, feature speakers and events held with ample space to mingle and meet new friends or reconnecting with people. This space will allow us to display a broader range of historical topics and allow for more "hands on" experiences with artifacts.
