One Heart Health develops free medical software and cutting edge algorithms for doctors around the world to screen children for congenital heart defects. We work with doctors in Bolivia, China, Mongolia, Nigeria and the United States to provide the tools and technology they need to bring life-saving screening services to low-income areas. We believe every child with heart disease should get a chance to live a healthy life, no matter where they live.

In 2024, 1 in 100 newborns will be affected by congenital heart disease (CHD), and of those born with CHD, half will require a heart operation in the first year of life to survive and have a chance to live as a healthy adult. This stark picture darkens further by the fact that 90% of children in the world have no access to quality cardiac care. Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is the most prevalent birth defect worldwide, but in areas without the necessary medical specialists, CHD is often not recognized in children until the symptoms become severe. When critical heart defects go undiagnosed, they are often fatal. Even children with common non-critical CHD face a lifetime of diminished capacity, forever unable to keep up with their healthy peers. One Heart Health was founded with the vision that every child with heart disease gets a chance to live a healthy life. Our mission and purpose is to develop cost-effective medical technologies to enable early diagnosis of heart diseases in children who live in low resource areas of the world, thereby improving health outcomes.
